SENIOR MANAGER, LEARNING & INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN

OVERVIEW:

The Senior Manager, Learning & Instructional Design is a part of the Learning & Development team responsible for the design and development of a broad curriculum for Richemont North America, reporting to the Director of Learning and Development. The main focus of this role is content development for a modular curriculum on topics of interest to a luxury retail corporate and boutique audience. These topics may include, but are not limited to: management and leadership, storytelling, hospitality, the evolving luxury landscape, inclusion and diversity, executive presence, hosting clients, negotiations, onboarding, compliance, and skills-based training. In addition to content development, the Senior Manager, Instructional Design will also oversee Richemont North America's Learning Management System (LMS) and facilitate selected classes at our Retail Academy, located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Craft compelling, highly-visible learning experiences using instructional design and design thinking principles (i.e. facilitating needs assessments and skills gap analysis; protoyping, developing, and testing user-centered blended learning experiences and training materials in a variety of delivery modalities; using tools and methods to assess engagement, knowledge transfer and application and ROI for Maisons and departments)
  • Facilitate programs and trainings for Maison and corporate audiences with confidence, poise, and presence
  • Develop project plans and execute learning program reviews with Maison partners, senior leadership, and department leadership to secure sign-off at project milestones to keep projects on time and within budget
  • Research, recommend, and manage relationships with external vendor partners to supplement and enrich Richemont-designed learning and development offerings
  • Manage and maintain learning project budgets
  • Manage the regional deployment of e-learning courses and local functions related to Richemont NA's learning management system (LMS)
  • Employ strong social skills to earn trust and build broad networks within Richemont's Maisons and departments
  • In conjunction with the Retail Academy Operations Manager, manage event logistics, run of show, vendor relationships, and event communications for Retail Academy events and its ongoing, retail-centered programs


TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in instructional design for adult learners required
  • Significant experience design and developing learning for the retail environment strongly preferred, including client experience and boutique-specific management and leadership topics
  • Experience administrating an LMS required
  • Experience consulting with SMEs and providing training design and development across multiple mediums (e.g. eLearning, video, instructor-led, distance learning) required
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and webinar hosting services such as Skype, Zoom, or Adobe Captivate required
  • Knowledge of compliance topics and administration of compliance training preferred by not required
  • Proficiency in one or more e-learning authoring tools preferred but not required
  • Certifications in Instructional Design, Kirkpatrick Measurement, Hogan, DISC, StrengthsFinder or other assessment certifications preferred but not required
