JOB TITLE Sustainable Innovation Intern
REPORT TO Breakthrough Innovation Manager
LOCATION Geneva
DATE September 2020 (6 months minimum)
ROLE PROFILE
Richemont owns some of the world's leading luxury goods Maisons, with particular strengths in jewellery, fine watches and premium accessories. Each Maison represents a proud tradition of style, quality and craftsmanship and Richemont seeks to preserve the heritage and identity of each of its Maisons. At the same time, we are committed to innovation and designing new products, which are in keeping with our Maisons' values, through a process of continuous creativity. Moreover, Sustainability is a key topic for Richemont and its Maisons today and Innovation plays an important role in making our products and operations more sustainable.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
You will work with the Richemont Breakthrough Innovation team & will help to manage ongoing projects.
- Scout/Identify relevant innovative sustainable materials for Richemont's Maisons
- Manage the relationships with startups/suppliers
- Coordinate the mechanical and chemical qualification tests
- Provide support in follow-up of development partnerships
- Organize and improve the current material library available for Maisons
- Organize regular events with Maisons
- Provide support in animation of workshops on sustainability/environmental performance
- Develop efficient communication channels
- Any innovative ideas are welcome!
- Provide support in deployment of environmental performance evaluation tools
- Provide support in some administrative tasks
- Provide support in the coordination of the Visionnaire Challenge (Richemont internal worldwide innovation challenge)
WHO YOU ARE
You are an active listener, curious & organized with strong interest in sustainability & change management.
You are familiar with design thinking methods and capable to co-lead a workshop.
You are currently graduating (MBA, Master degree in sustainability, communication, Environmental Engineering degree, or similar)
Fluent English is mandatory for this role. You need to have a good level in French. German is a plus.
You are at ease with MS-Office, particularly MS PowerPoint.
Notions/skills in graphic design and/or video-editing is a plus.
