Senior Manager, Raw Materials - Active

Job Description

The Senior Manager of Active materials will have a solid background in performance knit and woven
fabrics, trims and manufacturing processes, and will be responsible for managing the overall raw
materials strategy for the Active category. The Senior Manager owns growing the Brands material
excellence, quality and mill relationships and interacts daily with internal Design, Product
Development, Production and Merchandising counterparts.
This role is based in our Atlanta headquarters and reports to our Director, Raw Materials Sourcing.

• Lead sourcing, development, testing, standardization and consolidation of raw materials and
trims for the Active category from ideation through production
• Attend trade shows and provide brand appropriate seasonal materials, inspiration boards,
competitive analysis and seasonal materials trend direction in-line with design intent
• Identify new technologies and sustainability opportunities in fibers, fabric structure and
finishes that would result in patentable Active fabrications
• Effectively communicate material concepts gaining early alignment on technical details with
internal partners in Design, Product Development, Merchandising and Production
• Ensure strategic sourcing, costing and commercialization within seasonal deadlines
• Travel to develop and build relationships with mills and vendors to streamline seasonal
development and resolve production related issues
• Own risk assessment and visibility to capabilities and limitations
• Provide technical support to resolve potential issues on performance, dye, print, garment
dye and wash processes
• Establish toolbox and mill matrix according to the sourcing strategy
• Establish Active testing protocols ensuring brand right quality
• Review and approve print strike-offs for production
• Own raw materials library maintenance and innovation
• Own PLM data entry and maintenance
