Serapian, the historical Milanese fine leather goods Maison, is currently recruiting a Sales Director to integrate its dynamic team.


Retail Management

  • Be responsible for the development of sales of 3 internal Boutiques
  • Collaborate with Japan local team for retail operation and new openings
  • Set the local sales target by store and follow up on them
  • In cooperation with Marketing Director define the Retail Marketing plan
  • Follow with the BTQ manager the CRM plan development
  • Guarantee the excellence in boutique related to client service
  • Assure the motivation of the staff through presence on the field
  • Prepare and control the store's budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency
  • In cooperation with Marketing team, plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays
  • Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements

Wholesale Management

  • Constantly look for new business opportunities to increase penetration within existing and potential stores, pop-up and dept stores
  • Supervise POS in Japan and worldwide
  • Review bi-monthly selling for all major accounts and actively support the development of the business by proposing reorders and swaps
  • Monitor closely with all Departments (customer service, finance, planning, merchandising) all wholesale KPI's
  • Prepare Department Store seasonal buy analysis and product assortment
  • Define seasonal quali-quantitative OTB by door
  • Prepare sales re-forecasts and regularly review to ensure targets are met
  • Provide training and demonstrate selling techniques to key clients' sales staff
  • Work closely to Visual Merchandizing to ensure guidelines and standards are executed within all wholesale accounts
  • Ensure the showroom always meets the Maison standards for image and visual guidelines
  • Act as an ambassador for the Maison and maintain excellent interpersonal skills with all retailers


  • At least 7/9 years of experience in Sales; a previous experience in the Luxury industry will be considered a plus
  • Previous experience with Japan, Russia and Middle East markets is preferred
  • Stock planning skills are expected
  • Good communication skills
  • Proactive, passionate and versatile
  • Fluent in English and Italian
