Join us in our mission of democratizing the access to the European Fashion Market for hundreds of partners by scaling our in-house pan-European dropshipping service Zalando Shipping Solutions (ZSS) and play a protagonist role in the hyper-fast growing Zalando Platform.
As a Business Analyst for Zalando Shipping Solutions, you are in charge of building the processes and tools to create financial transparency and reporting and to provide the business with analyses and insights on a new logistics service. The service is continuously developing, just as Zalando as a company and its Tech and process landscape - join us in shaping this service!
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • Build the finance function of a new logistics service, setting up all connections to central functions as e.g. Accounting and Controlling. Bridge the gap between the commercial perspective of the service and its Finance/Controlling counterparts by building and running the service's P&L and defining and automating processes
  • Create analyses and business cases to support management decisions and product development for ZSS. Gather data from multiple sources and condense them into a comprehensive picture to create transparency and enable informed decisions.
  • Support other functions within ZSS with analyses to improve their performance (e.g. Strategy, Operations, Sales/KAM, Product Management).
  • Support integration of ZSS into the landscape of Zalando's Business Intelligence tools MicroStrategy, Superset and into SAP S4/HANA
  • Drive the build-out of a data landscape for ZSS and adjacent services to enable reporting, analysis and dashboards in collaboration with the responsible data and tech teams to ensure end-to-end visibility on all of the service's features and their performance.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • With 3+ years of experience in Business Analytics, Controlling, Business Intelligence or similar, you are well equipped with skills and experience in BI/Data Tools (preferably MicroStrategy, SuperSet, Tableau), SQL, Excel, Google Spreadsheets and Google Analytics. Python is a plus. You enjoy working with financial and non-financial data and business processes.
  • Analytical brilliance with an affinity to creative solutions. You master the balance between solutions that are simple and quickly available or scalable and robust - and enjoy transforming one into the other. Data inconsistencies do not scare you off but fuel your ambition to create a reliable data landscape.
  • You are hungry to identify and evaluate business opportunities. With your technical and analytical acumen you easily quantify their potential, build and present comprehensive business cases. Your stakeholder management skills ease to work successfully with finance professionals, project and product managers, business developers and our management team.
