WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Product Manager in Digital Foundation, you are the company expert for the Data Platform (e.g. the Data Lake, Data Warehouse and the Machine Learning Platform) and you will drive the vision of the entire data experience within Zalando. Together with Data Platform Eng. Teams, you develop efficiently usable Data infrastructure products making Zalando's data treasure accessible and impactful to all teams.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • Know your customers best and be the customer's advocate in all situations
  • Drive your products within the agile development teams, specifying business requirements, prioritizing user stories, supporting development, setting KPIs, proactively approaching users and stakeholders, collecting feedback and acting on it
  • Contribute to decision making by writing narrative documents. Analyze and explain problems, propose solutions with their pros and cons
  • Enable the organization to utilize its data, evangelizing company-wide the tooling and processes

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Several years of Product Management experience, collaborating with a team of data and software engineers
  • Excellent communication skills (both speaking and writing), adapting both the content and message to the audience (users, peers, stakeholders, and SVPs)
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • First experience with data or data infrastructure products
  • Knowledge about legal regulations for data is nice to have (e.g. GDPR)
