The Senior Manager, West Coast Facilities will manage day to day operations and teams responsible for providing support to our E-Commerce and Headquarter location. We are seeking a highly motivated Facilities & Project Manager with an extensive skill set, which includes facilities management, project management including design, space management and day to day facilities support.

What You Get To Do Every Day
  • Supervise a team of facilities staff (Managers, Generalists, Drivers, Porters) and external vendors, as well as lead cross functional facilities work with the Health & Safety, IT, Loss Prevention, Operations, and Procurement teams
  • Monitor and ensure continuous improvement on key performance indicators (KPIs); Review utilities and supplies consumption and strive to minimize costs
  • Source, negotiate and manage external vendor partnerships
  • Oversee all building functions (including janitorial, landscaping, employee shuttles), and the coordination of maintenance work. moves, and schedules.
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment, ongoing inspections of building systems, and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Plan and oversee new construction and renovation projects and oversee all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity, R&D equipment etc.) and refurbishments. Negotiate bids and contracts for third party workers and coordinate content and costs with department heads and building contractors.
  • Allocate office space according to needs, revise floor layouts, etc including analyzing future business needs and forecasting office equipment purchases and space expansion.
  • Manage a budget for building operations, renovations and service contracts.
  • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security, service contracts, etc.

What You Bring To The Role
  • Minimum 10-15 years' experience of facilities management in a fast-paced environment, including at least 3-5 years experience leading and managing teams
  • Proactive and able to show initiative and ideas; Ability to make quick decisions
  • Proven track record of effective negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills with attention to details
  • Good analytical/critical thinking
  • Well-versed in ecommerce operations and facilities management best practices, including maintenance and repairs
  • Experience with having to deal with city or township governments
  • Provides hands-on facilities assistance when necessary
  • Coordinate activities related to facilities maintenance, construction project management, space planning and move management
  • Assemble and lead complex project management
