As Team Lead Sales Manager, you will be significantly responsible for the growth of the Connected Retail network. Your team wins major brands and retailers with their own retail stores so that they can sell to customers via our platform. You are part of one of the most innovative Zalando teams and reinvent retail: Online-to-Offline.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • Manage the growth of our Connected Retail business by sensibly segmenting the retail landscape, developing innovative customer acquisition strategies and building a pan-European sales team.
  • Independently build up a strong sales pipeline and identify the right sales channels. Understand the requirements of the retailers and find the right tone to bring online and offline together. Develop new sales partnerships to accelerate growth and you have the end-to-end responsibility from first contact to contract conclusion.
  • Inspire disruptive innovation. Within Connected Retail you will be in close contact with our product and engineering team, who will help you translate your observations into technology.
  • Measure success against self-imposed goals and you are in regular contact with management to help grow the network. You have a great deal of freedom in choosing strategies to achieve your goals and, if necessary, adjust your course as needed.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 7+ years of professional experience in the lifestyle industry (e.g. fashion, sportswear, beauty), FMCG or comparable are required. Experience in sales to B2B customers and/or experience in stationary retail are a big plus.
  • Sales affinity, goal orientation and leadership characterize you: Customer acquisition and the conversion of new prospects into a lead will inspire you. Strong self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in a team, including guiding colleagues and managing stakeholders.
  • An agile mind, strong communication and negotiation skills are self-evident for you. You are fluent in English and German.

In the long run, Zalando customers can benefit from this approach, such as location-based delivery or same-day delivery. Currently, partners can become part of Zalando Connected Retail by digitizing their inventory from local stores and processing orders via Zalando's platform.
