The Campaign Design Team is part of the Marketing Strategy & Campaigns Team acting as an in-house creative agency, developing and executing concepts for internal and external customer communication. They are the creative consultant for the campaign management team when executing campaigns with external agencies. The range of projects varies in scale and type e.g. brand guidelines, CI development, social first / digital campaigns, social media design guidelines and the full support of 360° campaigns including owned, bought and earned media, working across 15+ Zalando markets.

Our goal: to ensure a consistent brand image and elevate our customers with an informative, entertaining and appealing impression of our products. We want customers to have an emotional connection to the Zalando brand - in other words, to have an excellent shopping experience.

ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creative lead for designs and team originating 360 print and digital campaigns which transcend across 15+ markets; overseeing clear passovers from Art Directors to design team
  • Steer digital experience design-strategy for marketing campaigns; managing stakeholder relationships as well as collaborative design with corresponding expert teams
  • Elevate visual communications and build up Zalando's Brand characteristics through: refined design system, layout, channel guidelines, technical guidelines as well as package design
  • Driver of our visual design language; researching design moods, checking technical feasibility, measuring exploration against brand strategy as well as advising internal/external stakeholders
  • Driving SoMe design experience
  • Managing design capacity; inc. overseeing freelance staff and planning
  • Managing deliverables across design team; overseeing the trans-creation of master assets for consistent brand experience across channels and countries
  • Owner of MS&C communication tools; presentation templates, guideline templates, as well as consistent grid for layouts and booklets

YOUR SKILLS
  • Minimum 4+ years of work experience as a Senior Designer in a creative design team, prior experience in fashion and lifestyle segment are a plus
  • Minimum 3+ years as lead designer driving creative concepts and/or design teams
  • Contemporary visual-design background with extensive brand, print and digital experience; knowledge of design systems, brand architecture, platform design, SoMe, display, and CRM channels as well as comfortable with image retouch
  • Knowledge in moving pictures and interactive media, such as motion design or video editing
  • Delivery is organised, process-oriented and collaborative; driven with care to quality, as you are an open, positive, flexible, professional team player.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills- verbal, visual, written and presentation
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software, including video editing & Sketch
