Sr QA Analyst

NuORDER is seeking a talented Sr QA Analyst to join the team at its company headquarters in Los Angeles (currently working remotely). This person will be joining our amazing and diverse team, learning and helping others to learn something new every day. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, is passionate about learning, and is able to work cross functionally with an integrated team of developers, product managers, product owners and system analysts for test planning, test development, and product validation. 

Responsibilities: 

• Design best practices and suggest tools to accelerate the defect identification and characterization across engineering, staging and production environments
• Creation of test plan and test cases, as well as process documentation (as-is and to-be)
• Execution of (but not limited to) functional, acceptance, compatibility, integration, regression types of testing
• Plan and execute automated and human-driven test scripts based on a critical reading of application requirements and architectural documents
• Publishing periodic reports based on target metrics so management may assess the quality state of the complete software system or a standalone module
• Working closely with management to plan deliverables/tools to use for functional and integration testing activities
• Identify potential road blocks and dependencies early in the process
• Provide complete visibility and collaboration in test case design.
• Partner with developers and automation engineer to define automation scope, strategy, approach and maintenance plan, as well as documentation
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with business and all internal IT Teams (program manager, DevOps, functional team and development team)
• Provide expert guidance and mentoring on any of the above to more junior testers
• Own continuous evaluation for manual and automation test suite
• Test and Analyze requirements, perform gap and impact analysis
• Support Go-Live activities and pre/post deployment activities
• Understand and be hands-on on the technical and functional process

Qualifications: 

• Extensive E-commerce experience
• 4+ years experience working in QA (on web and mobile applications)
• Good working knowledge of code management tools (GIT, Jenkins, etc.)
• Strategic thinker with ability to come up with lean, cost effective, efficient solutions and processes
• Working experience with Xcode and iOS simulator
• Industry knowledge and working experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, PostMan, Charles Proxy, JMeter, TestFlight, Chrome development tool, etc..
• You LOVE Q.A. and have a strategic view of quality assurance
• You enjoy experimenting with new methods, patterns, and techniques
• Experience with workflow of a highly functional Agile/Scrum team
• You're curious, innovative, authentic and promote a culture of quality within the engineering organization and beyond
• Process improvement experience
• SQL/MongoDB skills and understanding of database design and implementation
• Experience performing data analysis and rigorous testing to ensure high quality product including end-to-end testing as well as ability to track a data element from source through transformation to target
• Experience testing reports and dashboards to ensure it meets end-user business requirements
• You have a burning desire to identify defect immediately: in real-time if possible
• You have working knowledge of BDD/TDD (Behavioral/Test Driven Development))

Nice to have:

• Good working knowledge of JavaScript (Mocha, Chai) based automation frameworks (Cypress) as well as SOAP UI
