The Site Manager will manage a strong team that will satisfy thousands of customers every day. As the main Zalando representative of our newest local fulfillment center you can look back to your site's achievement with pride, week in week out! As you will be joining the Zalando team during the construction phase, you will have the chance to join us in building the success of this location from scratch. You will be crafting the relationship with our local service partners which will operate the warehouse and maintain the automation system and you will be hiring the Zalando onsite team.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- You will lead the Dutch operations for Zalando with local ownership of all topics related to the delivery of Logistics Operations. You are eager to act across multiple dimensions (operational, technical, quality, continuous improvement, labour, legal, financial) in ensuring the site performs at its best.
- You will be managing the services of the 3PL and automation fulfillment partners. Similarly you will be supporting the strategic steering of this local fulfillment center by tracking, analyzing and reporting key logistics metrics as well as the cost monitoring.
- The Site Manager has direct responsibility for managing the onsite Zalando teams (15-20 employees). Some of the teams operate in matrix functions and have technical leads elsewhere in the organisation. You are representing the site's interests and are able to steer all different stakeholders into the required direction.
- You will define and drive the Zalando experience in our organisation in the Netherlands. With your entrepreneurial and positive mindset you create a culture that is in line with Zalandos organisational and social standards.
- Demonstrable and relevant operational experience as a (site) manager from a solution minded environment in fulfillment services or contract logistics, including experience in leadership. In combination with a bachelor degree.
- Business fluent in Dutch and English language and proficiency in German is an advantage.
- A profound understanding of processes along the entire fulfillment chain.
- You combine an analytical comprehension with a structured approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong and successful relationships within and outside the company.
- An entrepreneurial approach and passion for logistics. Actively participating in the wider team and open to travel abroad.
