Job Details

As a Security Operations Center (SOC) Rapid Responder at Zalando, you'll act as the first line of defense while protecting our company's core assets and customers during security incidents. You will work closely with delivery teams and other security teams to ensure all Zalando services are monitored and protected.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • The response, triage, and analysis of internal and customer security incidents and security-related support tickets in close cooperation with our legal and delivery teams
  • The creation of business readable but highly technical documentation related to incidents including intrusions and events
  • The ability to maintain knowledge about past incidents and draw lessons learned to help our Product Security team prevent future incidents
  • The creation of process runbooks to improve efficiency when dealing with common security incidents


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • A history and a moderate level of understanding of the core essentials of setup, design, baseline configuration administration, and securing core IT systems, networks and software
  • Working knowledge of information security best practices, with deeper knowledge on network, system, software and code-level security
  • The eagerness to learn with a passion for information security operations, hacking, security defense-in-depth, coding, and system administration, as well as light project management abilities with documentation and reporting requirements
  • To be a valued part of the team with great communication and stakeholder management skills and the desire to act like an owner and drive topics or incidents to completion
