Head of Market Italy

As Head of Market Italy you will be responsible to position Zalando as the starting point for fashion in Italy. You will define the country's long term strategy and you will be accountable for the country's business performance.

  • Develop, execute and lead Zalando's Market Strategy to meet the business and growth KPIs for the Italian market, in strong alignment with Fashion Store peers
  • Be on top of market, consumer development and trends to define the local customer and commercial proposition (e.g. assortment, innovation, convenience, marketing, operations, etc.) and its translation into functional KPIs
  • Through thorough KPIs analysis, ranging from marketing to operations, you will steer business performance on a market level to capture commercial opportunities in strong collaboration with Supply, Convenience and DX (P&L responsibility in our matrix organization)
  • Deliver best in class Marketing campaigns working very closely with the central marketing teams
  • Manage the entire media spend (brand and performance) in the Italian market (in close alignment with the local marketing lead and the central functions) with the goal of maximizing the effectiveness of our investment both across measurable and non-measurable channels
  • You will be the spokesperson for the Italian market


  • You have gained 10+ years of work experience in consumer-oriented commercial leadership roles; Ideally General Management scope and within an Ecommerce setting. You are an expert on the Italian market, you understand our customers there and you have a strong local network.
  • Proven track record in planning and executing Go-to-market strategy. Deep expertise in reaching and engaging user/audience segments through a targeted value proposition and market strategy.
  • Experienced in applying latest insights and KPIs to strengthen the market position and to drive market share growth and revenue
  • Strategic commercial and marketing mind, able to translate customer needs and commercial opportunities to a sound plan that yields results on both short-term and mid-term.
  • You have a broad experience in leading teams through inspirational leadership and coaching
  • You think fast, work proactively and always keep on top of things even in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Communicating with your colleagues in English & Italian is a breeze
