Where we need help

Our Creative Team is steadily growing, and we're looking to add to our roster in the writing department. The Contract Copywriter role is an amazing opportunity to help evolve our brand's unique tone of voice. We're looking for a talented and passionate writer who can help us drum up copy for a variety of needs.

What does the job entail?

You write things that are smart and witty, but you're also able to make complicated subjects like sustainability and carbon footprints feel approachable. You write with a simple and eloquent resolve and make a habit out of trimming unnecessary fluff from your work. You're comfortable seeking our necessary information if it isn't given to you, asking thoughtful questions, and working collaboratively. Finally, you believe there's a difference between the right word and the wrong word, and you've got a passion for uncovering the former.

What kind of person are we looking for?
  • Developing a deep understanding of the Allbirds brand and tone of voice, then developing an ability to quickly craft effective copy in said voice.
  • Brainstorming rich creative concepts, pitching them, and executing them through a variety of different channels.
  • Writing everything from 3-word headlines to 60-second video scripts.
  • Being borderline obsessive when it comes to editing, grammar, and proofreading techniques.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality content that meets brand and business priorities.

More practical skills needed:
  • You have 3-4 years experience writing for apparel, lifestyle, or CPG brands.
  • You can work independently, and you're a stickler for details and deadlines.
  • You have a portfolio that features a range of creative executions.
