Position Summary:

As EMEA PR Mananger you will work cross-functionally with all areas of the business to grow brand awareness and uphold the reputation of La Perla globally, with a focus on the EMEA region. In this role you will report into the Global Senior Communications Manager and support the function with all press office and communication activities. This is an exciting time for a strong PR & Events Manager EMEA to join our Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:

PR Strategy & Media Relations

  • Work closely with Global Senior Communications Manager and other areas of the business to create a structured and comprehensive PR strategy and calendar, covering both global requirements and local market needs, to promote and tell La Perla’s rich story
  • Liaise and meet with a wide range of international press, Celebrities/VIPs, influencers and stylists on a daily basis facilitating all requests in a timely manner
  • Lead day to day relations with the UK and European markets as a brand ambassador for La Perla, establishing and nurturing relationships and brand affinity
  • Constantly keeping up to date on key editorial team changes and update these in central press databases for national and international press contacts across broadcast, print and online
  • Proactively outreach to media to pitch news, collections, events, notable store-openings and profiles to secure widespread coverage
  • Evaluate and manage media enquiries for interviews and quotes on behalf of the brand and external spokespeople
  • Management of creation of all press assets from press releases to press kits, including imagery and look books

Management & Coaching

  • Managing external PR agencies
  • Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team to aid their learning and growth
  • Day to day management of PR Coordinator ensuring they fulfill their duties in a timely manner, including but limited to reporting, coverage tracking as well as samples and images they receive from press

Research & Creative Ideation

  • Work closely with other areas of the business to proactively identify news-worthy brand milestones and hero products that require press attention and ideate inventive ways to communicate these externally
  • Identify key publications and people of influence (VIPs, influencers, editors & industry figures) with who La Perla should align
  • Foresee key moments and opportunities to engage media and find innovative ways to secure coverage in EMEA market
  • Stay abreast of key industry news and updates as well as competitor activity

Press events & trips

  • Contribute to the organisation and strategy for relevant press events and trips from planning stages to execution and post-event

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • You have substantial and proven experience (minimum 4-5 years experience) working in the press office of a global brand or at an agency
  • You have built and maintained a strong network of relationships with key press and industry contacts in EMEA and have exceptional knowledge of the media landscape in the region
  • You are an extremely well-organised and efficient self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively
  • You are a strong story teller, with clear knowledge of what makes a good press story, who can give external stakeholders an insightful and inspiring overview of the brand
  • You are a proactive solutions-based problem solver, who thrives under pressure and can think on your feet to answer incoming press queries and creatively pitch interesting angles
  • You have a strong team spirit and are collaborative and adaptable, able to work with various functions in an exciting and fast paced global business
  • You are excited about the prospect of managing and growing junior team members
  • You have excellent command of English language, both verbal and written 
  • You have an enthusiastic and creative approach to communications and the confidence to put forward new ideas
