JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is currently executing a HR Transformation programme, which involves implementation of Employee Central and an update of its core HR processes to SuccessFactors working with a global Tier 1 external vendor. The IT SAP HR/EC Technical Specialist role will work with the internal Solution Architect, and external partners to assist in delivery of the Technical workstream, and notably step into the Solution Architect / BAU lead role for a 3-month period Oct 2020 to Jan 2021 to cover Paternity leave. The role will assist with management of all technical activities, liaising with project team members as required to ensure delivery of the HRT Programme on time, on budget and to a high-quality standard, remaining aligned to scope and with closely managed risks/issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT SAP HR/EC Technical Specialist will assist the Solution Architect on all areas of technical delivery of the Programme including but not limited to those responsibilities detailed below. This additional expertise, increasing the capacity of the team is required for a 6-month period during the HRT Programme (with possibility to extend). From Oct 2020 - Jan 2021 the Technical Specialist will assume the role of Solution Architect to cover Paternity leave.
Solution Architect Responsibilities / BAU lead (during 3-month Paternity Leave cover period)
• End to end responsibility for the solution architecture for the projects within the programme;
•Manage logical to physical design, between internal and external delivery partners;
•Ensure alignment with roadmaps and enterprise architecture principles, direction statements, standards and governance process;
•Ensure that delivery project plans for all relevant architectural governance, design reviews and gating, both within the governance structure of the programme and where necessary at the enterprise level;
•Raise, own and resolve any architectural and project issues/risks and issues throughout the lifecycle of the project, with relevant business function, external vendors and IT project team(s);
•Develop the solution acceptance criteria to ensure the integrity of any proposed solutions across our IT estate and enable communication to relevant business stakeholders;
•Work with the Security and Information Risk functions to ensure any solution meet the needs of our security standards and principles;
•Ensure delivery projects correctly account for solution infrastructure from an operational and supportability perspective and that all non-functional requirements (including SLAs for business continuity, availability and scalability, security) are addressed in the solution;
•Ensure that the solution architecture balances functional, service quality and operational management requirements but remains bound by relevant commercial, business function and technical constraints;
•Raise any solution dependencies/constraints across the projects within the programme and the wider IT portfolio;
•Manage workstream financials including initial estimates, budgets and forecastsEngage the necessary stakeholders on an ongoing basis
•Lead and be accountable for the integration of HR internal and third-party solutions; liaising with internal and third-party stakeholders as required
•Lead 2 x offshore resources supporting BAU changes, providing technical oversight and approval to managed CR's managing escalations and major incidents as appropriate
•Ensure data models are aligned to Data & Information standards
•Work with the Data Governance Forums to feed in required technical considerations

PERSONAL PROFILE

•5+ years' experience as an SAP HR/HCM or SuccessFactors Architect
•Understanding of SAP Cloud Platform Integration and integration patterns
•Experience integrating SAP with third parties including payroll
•Project lifecycle exposure
•Good understanding of SaaS based HR solutions
•Experience working with consultancies
•Ability to present technical concept to non-technical audiences
•Strong influencing and leadership skills
