As Site Lead Erfurt, you will be in charge of our most strategic logistics center in the Zalando logistics network. Therefore you engage with multiple stakeholders across the organization and lead your site on daily operations, strategic projects and through peak times.

Our Erfurt logistics center is the first Zalando fulfillment center that we developed from scratch. Opened in 2012, the 130,000 sqm center set new benchmarks for the industry, combining state-of-the-art infrastructure with smart thinking and great team support. From here we process and ship tens of thousands of orders every day - to customers across Europe. As well as being part of Europe's busiest fashion logistics network, we're also continuously advancing our technology and processes. This enables our teams to connect fashion to people faster and in ways that were previously unimaginable.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- Setting the course and vision for the warehouse teams to drive our goals focused on deliverables across the organization.
- Providing strong leadership, clear direction, support and approach to your teams and internal stakeholders.You will lead by example, both within the team and to other Zalando teams. As a cross-functional role, you create close relationships with internal and external stakeholders and top management in order to align on business priorities.
- Active communicator in internal and public relations in the Erfurt region knowledge exchange and connection on trending logistics topics as well as alignment with works council
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Background and experience. You have gained extensive work experience in the industry with a strong bias towards excellent daily operations;
- Leadership. Be able to lead our people in the warehouse by example, drive strategic solutions, and develop a clear roadmap to achieve our business goals
- Strategic thinking. Be able to fly high and dive deep in every dimension of the daily operations. You are a strategic business owner with an impressive analytical and statistical conceptual skill set.
- Effective and inspiring networker. We rely on people with agile mindsets, talking to each other to identify interdependencies and sources of mutual value to create optimal solutions through the entire industry; fluent German language skills are mandatory.
