Job Details

The Safety Intern supports the Health & Safety team to deliver the company-wide initiatives which keep our employees and customers safe. You focus on the development and execution of COVID related programs and controls and help ensure alignment with evolving best practices. As part of your role, you also support other critical, compliance focused health & safety initiatives. You are self-motivated, able to work independently and have a keen eye for detail. You understand how the work you perform impacts the larger organization, and you are willing to speak up when you see an issue.

What You Get To Do Every Day
  • Updating OSHA loss runs, reviewing workers' compensation claims and establishing a guest and worker injury process
  • Ensuring retail, LCO and warehouse safety audits address key risks and that effective and timely correct actions are taken
  • Creating material for the TRR safety training library including manager talking points and employee topics
  • Following up daily with onsite teams on safety committee, safety scorecard and LP audit feedback
  • Tracking COVID related issues including state quarantine requirements, contact tracing, PPE and managing the TRR Safety inbox
  • Leading weekly meetings with Safety Supervisors 
  • Supporting projects within the broader Facilities and Operations teams

What You Bring To The Role
  • BS or MS in Safety or a related field required
  • OSHA certification(s) and/or training(s) in general industry preferred
  • Must possess working knowledge of accident investigations, accident prevention and OSHA regulations
  • Strong organizational and information management skills with emphasis on detail and record-keeping
  • Ability to relay verbal and written information concisely, effectively and professionally
  • Excellent interpersonal and observational skills
