Pitkin County Dry Good’s store operations manager will lead, support and inspire a 17+ person sales, cashier and managerial staff. These daily responsibilities include sales, store maintenance, visual merchandising, and customer relationship management. Beyond the sales floor, you will partner with the accounting/shipping department and the buying team to ensure the smooth and seamless operation of the entire business.
-Promote a welcoming and comfortable social environment for customers, by maintaining and enhancing PCDG’s reputation for legendary customer service.
-Recruit and hire for sales, cashier and seasonal positions.
-Create a balanced and efficient sales schedule for the sales floor.
-Oversee, train, motivate and instruct the sales team, in order to achieve the highest level of sales productivity and customer communication. Establish goals and rewards for the team.
-Oversee and train the cashier staff and provide accurate, daily POS reconciliation and information to the bookkeepers.
-Work with and schedule the visual merchandising staff to timely update store windows, interior displays and the sales floor. Daily integrate new merchandise into the sales floor.
-Oversee opening/closing procedures and store maintenance.
-Coordinate team building between the sales team, the buyers, and accounting/shipping department.
-Foster a transparent, open and respectful work environment. Proactively and timely effect the resolution of employee/store and employee/employee relations.
-Help facilitate staff and operations expense management.
-Ensure accurate and timely store restock.
