In this exciting role you'll be part of the Global Social Media team within the Marketing Strategy and Campaigns department of the Zalando Fashion Store.

  • Working with internal campaign & creative team and external agencies or freelancers to ensure social first and excellence within global marketing campaigns
  • Translate brand and business strategies into content strategies, impactful and inspirational social marketing to build a loved brand
  • Act as a social media ambassador across the department and the wider business, building a reputation of expertise and success
  • Development of end to end of Social Media concepts, from insights to KPI reviews
  • Development of Creative strategies for YouTube, Instagram, Tiktok and Facebook. Thinking holistically on how to roll-out and amplify social ideas in the best way possible.
  • Actively build positive and trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business (Campaign Team, Marketing Analytics, Markets, Categories, CuCa, Corp Comms, Brand Comms, Campaign Design, Content Management), building a reputation of expertise and success, as well as with platform partners and external agencies

  • University degree in Marketing, Business Studies, Media and Communication or a related field and 7+ years of experience in social media developing impactful, innovative social media strategies and content that captures people's attention, gets people talking, grows social media communities and drives overall business goals. While we are open to all backgrounds (matrix experience at an agency and in-house is preferred)
  • A creative and strategic mindset, delivering creative content of the highest quality, pitching ideas for social media to stakeholders and selling concepts
  • You are a strong all-rounder. You have a strategic mind (and a love of data and insight), creative flair and you know how to turn theory into action quickly. You love pitching social media ideas to stakeholders, and know how to project manage a campaign to ensure delivery to deadlines.
  • You have a deep and passionate knowledge of the social media landscape, including a strong understanding of all platforms, technologies/features and consumer behaviours, and a hunger to be the first to try new things. As an expert, you will be expected to bring this knowledge into Zalando with a point of view of how we capitalise on new opportunities.
  • You start every project with a yes. You are positive, collaborative and you put purpose before ego but equally you have an opinion, you are persuasive and you know how to bring stakeholders along on the journey with you. Excellent communication skills (speaking and writing) in English and the ability to build deep and broad relationships at all levels is a must
  • Experience of working in fashion, technology and retail is highly desirable
  • Experience in developing content strategies and campaigns for YouTube is a plus
