As a (Senior) VAT Manager, you are part of a team dealing with the myriad and complex VAT issues of the strongly growing Zalando Group. As a (Senior) VAT Manager, you are part of a team dealing with the myriad and complex VAT issues of the strongly growing Zalando Group. You will work on the digitalization and optimization projects of the tax department and deliver your input when we dress tax up to data.WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- Act as a contact person for our stakeholders, external advisors and tax authorities
- Develop strong trusted advisor relationships within the business units of Zalando Group supporting the growth of the Group
- VAT structuring and local tax requirements in different European countries
- Contribute to further development of our VAT policies and implementation of new VAT requirements
- Together with the team, you'll drive the optimization, automation and digitalization of VAT processes and compliance, as well as support the tax team in different several projects of the Zalando Group
- A degree in taxation, law, business administration or a comparable background and minimum 4-6 years of professional experience, ideally as in-house expert and/or within an international tax advisory/auditing firm, including experience in advising for VAT topics. A Tax advisor exam is an asset but not required.
- You feel confident with MS Office and an ERP and/or analytical tools
- Ideally you are interested in digitalization, tax-technology, big data analytics, taxation of the digital economy
- Fluent English, German is an advantage but not required
