We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to help us grow our new to market brand.
Key Tasks
Business Operations
- Collaborate with the Managing Director in setting and driving company vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs
- Drive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business objectives
- Implement business strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth; implement the company’s goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
- Establish and deploy KPI's for the business assuring that internal and external processes are established to meet them
- Devise and implement systems and processes to improve performance across the business
- Adhere to company, national, international, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary
- Approach every day with a continuous improvement mindset - consistently identifying areas for improvement and putting forward recommendations
Team
- Helping to set the team structure and hire for new roles as the company scales
- Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organisational outcomes are met
- Provide timely, accurate and complete reports for the Managing Director
- Ensure that all staff receive appropriate training on job duties, corporate policies and applicable regulations
- Develop operating procedures, KPIs and goals for each department
- Provide training to team on continuous improvement methodology and formal problem-solving techniques, enabling departments to drive better business results
- Work with Managing Director to develop full Company Handbook
- Arrange employee agreements
- Ensure staff have suitable equipment, software and tools to perform their roles
Sales
- Lead strategic market analysis, identifying growth opportunities in the UK and internationally
- Plan and implement strategy to achieve sales targets
- Propose best path forward to balance growth and profitability
Supply Chain
- Monitor third party business and suppliers to ensure that they are efficiently and effectively providing the needed services and supplies while staying within budgetary limits
- Set environmental goals and be constantly looking to improve our carbon footprint
- Manage day-to-day supply chain and business operations, empowering the team to achieve KPIs through excellence in merchandising, manufacturing, logistics, and customer service
- Inventory management and planning to optimise for stock levels, speed, and margin
- Partner with internal design team on product development as it relates to sourcing and sampling
Finance
- Financial reporting
- Working with the Managing Director to plan budgets
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of experience in fashion.
- Experience in DTC / E-commerce based business
- At least 2 years in a management role in a high-growth organisation
- Supply chain and manufacturing experience
- A natural born leader. Understanding of personal leadership style and standard best practices
- Well-rounded solid experience in commercial innovation and P&L management
- Proven background in scaling an inventory-based business
- Highly developed leadership skills with the ability to build, lead and develop a team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate needs as well as provide the team with a clear framework of the strategic priorities
- Working knowledge of the industry and brand landscape
- Excellent verbal, analytical, organisational, and written skills
- Experience working with a team in a fast-paced setting
