About the role
Manager, Assortment Analytics will use research and analysis to capitalize on assortment opportunities including, but not limited to, leveling, climate, and demographics. Market intelligence will be used to develop and execute assortment localization strategies. Close partnership with Merchandising, Visual, and Field Leadership will enable inclusion into our product pipeline. This role will support goal to design a process to ensure we have the right product in the right store at the right time through assortment. This newly created team is expected to evolve as need dictates.

What you'll do
- Develop and lead repeatable process for assortment assessment and integration into product pipeline
- Use analytics to identify assortment opportunities
- Use and combine multiple data sources to support analytics
- Lead development of simple, effective implementation plan
- Determine best integration of seasonal process into product pipeline
- Communicate and gain feedback from multiple business partners, including field leadership
- Focus on continuous improvement, even when progress slows due to process complexities
- Key partnership with merchandising team
- Interpret qualitative and quantitative data in a focused, understandable way
- Prepare materials for leadership updates
- Models strong time management by delivering project milestones on time
- Can independently build research process and develop implementation plan
- Lead continuous improvement in process accuracy, efficiency, and sustainability
- Collaborative with all cross functional teams, balancing scientific approach with evolving business trends
- As needed, help with Ad Hoc analysis or projects
- Supports IM leadership in both current business activities as well as strategic initiatives
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of experience in inventory management (or equivalent)
- 2 years of supervisory experience, preferred
- Strong analytical skills, with ability to formulate data based strategies
- Ability to gather, manipulate and interpret large amounts of data
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized, effective time management
- Ability to effectively present and communicate with peers and leadership.
- Build constructive, effective relationships with a broad group of business partners
- Knowledge of inventory optimization concepts and principles
- Strong mathematical and statistical aptitude with experience in a non-academic environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment.
- Ability to solve complex problems in creative and effective ways.
- Strong excel skills and the ability to learn other tools/software as needed (Access, Essbase, Microstrategy, etc)
