The Associate Art Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the brand’s visual identity. This position will work under the Head of Creative in the artistic development of marketing materials, branded content (including print, online, and mobile), photoshoots, in-store visuals, showroom visuals, GWPs, presentations, and innovation initiatives. Working within the Creative and Marketing teams, you will join a dynamic team in developing unique and compelling campaigns and assets to help shape and grow a global brand and foster a brand culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the artistic development and execution of individual projects in close collaboration with copywriters and graphic designers, under the guidance of the Head of Creative
  • Generate clear ideas and concepts aligning with brand and marketing goals
  • Produce sketches, storyboards, roughs and models to visualize ideas and concepts
  • Design and create product knowledge (PK) packets and sales tools
  • Design and create pitch and concept decks
  • Design and create PR & Marketing assets, such as advertising campaigns, lookbook layouts, event invites, brand packaging, presentations and sales tools
  • Develop brand style guides and visual guidelines, including ecommerce and social media visual guidelines
  • Develop original concepts and execute designs based on brand style guides/principles
  • Manage, delegate and guide tasks among design team to ensure deadlines are met and expectations are exceeded
  • Create and maintain relevant calendars, timelines and budgets for individual projects
  • Articulate design decisions/direction cross-functionally to align with brand vision and strategic objectives, supported and backed by evidence and insight
  • Remain up to date on design and industry trends, and evolve with best practices, relaying information to the creative team

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, digital media, marketing, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in art direction, visual design, graphic design, or creative agency experience
  • Portfolio that shows an eye for detail, strong grasp of typography and aesthetic filled with integrated cross platform campaigns
  • Expert level skills in creatives tools such as Ps, Ai, Id and Keynote, and a working knowledge of Sketch, Figma, or InVision; as well as emerging interactive design trends
  • Knowledge project management tools; Asana is a plus
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and conceptual thinking skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work within strict deadlines
  • A trained eye for design aesthetic and creative layouts with the ability to translate strategy across print, web, mobile and video
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and the ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to change
  • A collaborative and creative mindset and a positive attitude
  • A genuine interest in, and knowledge of, the fashion industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
