Denim Product Developer

As a Product Developer with Nanushka, you will be responsible for the entire product development cycle, from sketch through to prototyping, washing processes, fit comments, and completed salesman samples in time for sales meetings and showrooms around the globe. The day to day is a fast-paced and always changing environment at Nanushka HQ and offers an exciting challenge with scope to make the role you own.

Working on across the women and men denim categories, each collection brings with it new ways to change the face of fashion with a focus on sustainability, quality, design, and technical knowhow.

Tasks will include, but not be limited to:

• Development of luxury womenswear & menswear denim collections in close collaboration with our design teams each season.
• Working with some of the world's best suppliers and manufacturers the responsibility will be in close contact to communicate comments and manage the sampling status.
• A strong focus with an emphasis on the quality and fit of the denim samples.
• Attend fittings sessions and compile comments, take detailed photos of the fit of the styles, and proactive input to ensure production processes run on time.
• Responsible for the product data input and continuous updates to the systems.
• Discuss prices for production and confirm sales meetings.
• Maintain a close working relationship with design, atelier, and merchandise.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and communicate on a day-to-day with supply-chain teams on any potential issues.
• Have a sound and knowledgeable experience in the denim category along with knowledge of washing and finishing processes.
• Keep clear and precise documentation of communication with suppliers to ensure all information is correct.
• Followed up with the supplier, ensuring the sampling process is delivered on time for key meetings and sign-offs.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a product development position with a focus on denim.
• Highly proficient in MS Office applications - particularly Excel & G Suite.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written English with other languages an advantage but not essential.
• Excellent communication & time management skills as well as a focus on details.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
