Retail Manager

We are looking for a Retail Manager to oversee multi-store operations in New York City; we currently have two locations. We are seeking someone who shows initiative and possesses excellent organizational and time management skills. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of customer service experience and exceptional communication skills. We are a small business committed to fair trade, ethical labor practices, and the highest environmental standards. Reports to Operations Manager. 

Responsibilities:

• Store operations; Responsible for all day-to-day store operations and management of store associates. Serve as liaison between the team and our stores with daily communication and coordination of operation policies and procedures.
• Inventory management; Maintain up-to-date inventory count and participate in the active improvement of our inventory management systems. Manage distribution and merchandising of inventory between our stores.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales targets.
• Help to develop customer service programs and new outreach approaches. Participate in company strategy meetings to improve customer service systems.
• Train and supervise all sales associates as well as hiring new store employees. Other administrative tasks such as managing re-ordering of supplies, overseeing deliveries, and scheduling. 

   

Qualifications:

• At least two years of customer service experience, preferably with a fashion brand.
• Attitude of service, kindness, and enthusiasm.
• Excellent attention to detail and adept at solving problems/troubleshooting.
• Superior written and spoken communication skills.
• Self-starter who can independently manage and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of Shopify Ecommerce Platform a plus. Proficient knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets and Drive.
