Veronica Beard is seeking a passionate E-Commerce Data Analytics leader to join our team in New York as Manager, E-Commerce Data Analytics, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. The role will be responsible for building and maintaining ongoing reporting, designing, and monitoring experiments, and surfacing actionable insights and recommendations to partners in Ecommerce, Performance Marketing, and CRM. The ideal candidate has experience using data to analyze how customers engage with brands and identifying opportunities to increase retention, reduce churn, and expand the customer-base.  The role is based in our NYC office and reports directly to our Chief Marketing Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the effectiveness of campaigns and retention programs across online and offline channels, providing actionable insight for data-led optimization
  • Develop and enhance segmentation and targeting to maximize growth marketing and customer lifetime value
  • Build an in-depth understanding of the customer journey and customer behaviors across channels
  • Provide the marketing team with ongoing insights on the health of our customer base and acquisition strategies
  • Use experiments and statistical analysis to quantify how marketing initiatives impact the business
  • Develop new reporting framework and methods by using data and visualization tools
  • Oversee end-to-end analytics workflow and data infrastructure, including data pipelining, data warehouse management, and data modeling
  • Develop and implement long term strategy for building data-driven culture, centralizing data definitions, and democratizing data access across the organization

Skills and Experience

  • Experience building data capabilities for high growth E-commerce brands
  • At least 3-5 years of experience analyzing customer data
  • Proven track record of conducting technical, yet easily digestible (to a non-technical audience) analyses that drive strategic decisions & initiatives
  • Mastery of SQL and navigating relational databases
  • Experience building analysis and reporting in BI tools (Chartio, Looker, etc)
  • High level of comfort conducting self-directed exploratory analysis but motivated to make data actionable to partners in the business.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the full analytics workflow, from data pipelining, to data modeling, to defining KPIs, and building visualizations/analyses
  • Experience working within cloud-based, modern data stacks and Customer Data Platforms (ie Segment) preferred
