As a Lead Buyer for the Modern Classics Womenswear category at Zalando Lounge, you are part of a high performing team, creating new and innovative ways to connect people and fashion in our offprice segment.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • As a Lead Buyer you 'll define seasonal strategy for your responsible unit and identify and support acquisition for both established and up-and-coming brands.
  • Your responsibility will be to build an assortment for the Zalando Lounge with a holistic view on markets and seasonal demand.
  • Buying a specific customer cluster, thereby sourcing new brands, enhancing existing supplier relations and negotiating the best terms for Zalando Lounge. Development of Key Accounts within the Womenswear Modern Classics segment forms a crucial part of the position.
  • Analyzing all relevant buying KPIs and preparing the seasonal planning for your Buying area as well as your weekly campaign planning and its organization.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with other departments like Logistics, Controlling, Content and Photo production and Onsite Management will be part of your daily work, ensuring that we act in line with the whole organization. You will work cross-functionally to drive sales and maximize profit.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Experienced in working for a fast paced e-commerce retailing business. Relevant Buying Experience at a similar senior level, working with large international Fashion brands
  • Being a leader who will help to support a team that consists of a Senior Buyer and Junior Buyer, you will be directly reporting into the Team Lead Womenswear. You love developing people, training and acting as a role model for the team.
  • Being passionate about fashion and a European market expert for leading fashion brands. Your excellent analytical skills put you on top of the class and you love working with numbers to validate your gut instinct buying decisions and take risks
  • Negotiation is in your blood, and you are always a compelling figure when communicating with suppliers and other stakeholders. You have mastered both written and spoken negotiations and come with a track record of successful negotiations
  • Experience in working in large scale cross functional, multi stakeholder projects
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English and German.
