As the Strategic Project Manager, you will report to and actively support the Executive Project Manager and SVP with your functional and organisational know-how. You will support in driving high priority projects in collaboration with the expert teams - especially in the areas of strategy, business steering, people and organisation. This is a great opportunity to observe and learn from some of the most senior people in the organisation by having a more holistic picture, whilst deep diving into critical business challenges within Zalando.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • Be part of the team supporting the SVP of Marketing & Sales in an advisory capacity, adhering to her daily business, preparing and following up on appointments, or working on communication formats. You will anticipate the needs of your SVP and help resolve issues as they arise.
  • End-to-end responsibility on projects within and outside your business unit: from briefing, analysis, creation of concepts, to presenting your findings to the leadership teams of market/ing/Demand and Zalando.
  • Drive the operational execution of the highly relevant and strategic process within the organization (e.g. such as coordinating leadership meetings, creating insight-lead team communications). You'll be responsible to drive, set-up, and maintain highly relevant processes within the business unit.
  • Cooperating with a variety of senior management stakeholders throughout the company, including the Executive Management Team of Zalando, you will drive the communication within the area of responsibility of the SVP and live through active feedback our 360 ° feedback culture.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • You have acquired a degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or equivalent. You have a minimum of 3+ years experience as a project manager or business developer in a fast growing environment.
  • Proven high quality problem solving and project management skills in a previous role. You convince with your outstanding analytical skills and strategic approach combined with a flexible mindset and willingness to shape ideas and projects.
  • Passion for E-Commerce and General Management topics, and an understanding of online business models and current industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English as well as a proven track record of managing stakeholders and set and maintain new processes. Strong eagerness to learn in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Ability to work independently and quickly familiarize yourself with new topics. You distinguish yourself by your structured, efficient way of working. You communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Good collaboration with teams is especially important to you.
