CONTEXT AND TEAM 

AS WHOLESALE MANAGER FOR THE GREATER CHINA AND ASIA PACIFIC REGION, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DRIVING SALES WITH REGIONAL PARTNERS WHILE ENSURING OUR WHOLESALE DISTRIBUTION NETWORK MAXIMISES OPPORTUNITY AND IS ALIGNED WITH BRAND STRATEGY AND BRAND POSITIONING.  THIS ROLE REPORTS TO THE REGIONAL MANAGING DIRECTOR.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

MANAGE ACCOUNTS AND TEAMS

1  MANAGE AND ACT AS THE MAIN CONTACT FOR 38 POINTS OF SALES (POS) ACROSS 8 KEY REGIONAL ACCOUNTS, INCLUDING BOTH TRAVEL RETAIL AND FRANCHISEE ACCOUNTS

2  BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG COMMERCIAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH WHOLESALE PARTNERS ACROSS REGIONS

3  CARRY OUT REGULAR MARKET VISITS AND WHOLESALE PARTNER MEETINGS, ESPECIALLY TO MAIN ACCOUNTS AND STORES TO ENSURE CELINE GUIDELINES AND STANDARDS ARE BEING FOLLOWED

4  COMMUNICATE REGULARLY WITH CLIENTS REGARDING PRICING STRATEGY INCLUDING MARKDOWN AND ENSURE THEY STAY IN LINE WITH BRAND DIRECTION

5  WORK TOGETHER WITH THE PARTNERS ON ALL SEASONAL ORDERS TO ENSURE BOTH QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE ELEMENTS OF THE BUDGETS ARE REACHED

6  MAXIMIZE BOTH SELL-IN AND SELL-OUT FIGURES BASED ON KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS) IN PARTNERSHIP WITH WHOLESALE PARTNERS, ENSURING SALES AND OPEN TO BUY (OTB) TARGETS ARE ALIGNED WITH HQ EXPECTATION

7  PROVIDE INFORMATIVE AND INSPIRING SEASONAL BRAND AND PRODUCT TRAINING TO PARTNERS ALONGSIDE INTERNAL MERCHANDISING AND TRAINING TEAMS

8  ENSURE CLIENTS ADHERE TO THE MERCHANDISING GUIDELINES AS SET OUT IN THE BUY CAMPAIGN

9  PROVIDE EXCELLENT VISUAL MERCHANDISING (VM) SUPPORT TO WHOLESALE CLIENTS ACROSS ALL DOORS COORDINATING THAT SUPPORT BETWEEN THE CLIENTS, THE REGIONAL VM TEAM AND HQ TEAMS WHERE APPROPRIATE

10  COLLABORATE ACROSS INTERNAL TEAMS INCLUDING CUSTOMER SERVICE (CS) AND VM TO ENSURE THE SUCCESS OF PRODUCT LAUNCHES

11  WORK CLOSELY WITH HQ CS, CREDIT TEAM AND WHOLESALE CLIENTS TO ENSURE ALL PAYMENTS ARE SETTLED WITHIN DESIGNATED TIMELINES

12  CO-ORDINDATE AND MANAGE SEASONAL NON-SELLING MERCHANDISE ORDERS (SUCH AS PACKAGING AND UNIFORMS) WITH HQ CS AND CLIENTS

13  SUPPORT APAC MD AND HQ WHOLESALE TEAM ON AD HOC PROJECTS WHEN NECESSARY

MAXIMIZE SALES

14  IDENTIFY, NEGOTIATE AND LAUNCH NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, AS WELL AS CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVING AND DEVELOPING THE EXISTING BUSINESS BOTH IN TERMS OF SALES AND SERVICE LEVEL

15  CONDUCT ONGOING REVIEWS OF SALES PERFORMANCE AND COLLOBORATE WITH BOTH CLIENTS AND HQ TEAMS TO UNDERSTAND AND MANAGE REORDER NEEDS

ANALYZE SALES

16  PREPARE WEEKLY AND MONTHLY SALES AND STOCK REPORTS, PRODUCT TREND SUMMARIES AND ANY OTHER BUSINESS INSIGHTS TO HELP DRIVE STRATEGY AND SALES

17  PREPARE MARKET COMPETITOR AND ECONOMIC UPDATES FROM TIME TO TIME

NEW STORE PROJECTS

18  PREPARE ANNUAL CAPEX AND ANY REQUIRED PROJECT DOCUMENTS, AND ALIGN WITH INTERNAL TEAMS BEFORE SUBMISSION TO HQ

19  PREPARE MARGIN PROPOSALS FOR ANY NEW STORES AND PROJECTS WHEN NECESSARY

20  COORDINATE WITH STORE PROJECT TEAM AND CLIENTS ON PROJECT STATUS TO ENSURE A SMOOTH OPENING

IDEAL PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE 

EDUCATION: UNIVERSITY EDUCATED OR EQUIVALENT

EXPERIENCE: SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE IN LUXURY RETAIL, WITH AT LEAST 5 YEARS IN WHOLESALE OR MERCHANDISING MANAGEMENT
