As Senior Corporate Communications Manager (m/f/d) for Technology you are responsible for the international media relations regarding all topics of Zalando's digital experience - from artificial intelligence and machine learning, and from data science to sizing. You take care of our technology offices in Berlin, Dortmund, Dublin and Helsinki.

You work in the Media Relations team within Zalando's Corporate Communications organization in our Berlin headquarters. All spokespeople are centrally organised here and co-create stories, campaigns as well as events. Together with our senior leadership, the business units and communication colleagues, we strive to position Zalando as a thought leader in Europe towards internal stakeholders and the public.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • Develop, orchestrate and implement an integrated communications strategy for Zalando's technology topics with particular focus on AI and machine learning. You contribute measurably to the company's success and position Zalando as a thought leader in Europe. You trial new approaches and communication formats
  • Set the agenda on trends in technology and e-commerce, make use of your resilient network of international press contacts to place Zalando's stories at the agenda of highly relevant media and opinion leaders. You handle sensitive topics and critical situations with great trust and professionalism
  • Develop press material and interview briefings, conduct media training sessions and briefings, and position our employees in interviews or other formats in our newsroom as well as external media.
  • Establish an excellent internal network and consult our business units regarding strategic communication across all functions and technology offices. You are the interface to other communication functions in the company (i.e. investor relations, employer branding)


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in corporate communications and/ or journalism, practical experience in an international, high-growth business in the areas of technology or e-commerce (experience in an agency is a plus)
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English, outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills. You make internal and external networking a priority in your daily work
  • Strong project management skills and a passion for complexity. Even in stressful situations you don't lose track and keep an eye on the details
  • Curious and open mindset, creative thinking and a can-do mentality. You understand change as an opportunity that you actively shape
