JOB SUMMARY

Support in leading and developing the company's Visual presentation in Japan, and establish the Tory Burch Visual Merchandising standards throughout the region's FSS, SIS and Outlet channels. This role is all about leading the creation and maintenance of store environments which promote the Tory Burch brand, showcases & moves Tory Burch products, and delivers the ultimate customer experience. This person will need to have a well-developed understanding of the Tory Burch Visual presentation standards and strong business acumen, effectively balancing aesthetics with productivity, and be extremely creative as well as an effective communicator and trainer.

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES

FOCUS AREA #1: Leadership
  • Lead the planning, execution, and follow-up of key rollouts and initiatives for regional FSS, SIS and Outlet channels
  • Train the field teams in FSS, SIS and Outlet channels in updated Visual standards and guidelines as communicated by Coprorate Headquarters
  • Liaison between regional office and Corporate Headquarters, communicating successes, opportunities, and needs at the regional level for FSS, SIS and Outlet
  • Support the Visual Manager in maintaining all organizational processes and procedures for the department, including FSS, SIS and Outlet operational responsibilities (calendars, budget tracking, etc.)
  • Manage the development of Visual Merchandising educational/training tools to standardize training and store communication protocols with respect to official VM Directives
  • Coordinate and conduct Visual training sessions and workshops throughout the region's FSS,

SIS and Outlet stores
  • Travel with cross-functional partners in the region to influence Visual decision making throughout


FOCUS AREA #2: Regional Visual Merchandising Strategy & Standards
  • Lead the regional channel in elevating, adapting, and implementing Visual guidelines, including but not limited to, window presentations and in-store displays
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in developing strategies to uphold the Visual Merchandising standards with respect to regional channel, coordinating with Corporate Headquarters
  • Demonstrate a strong working relationship with internal corporate teams, store management, and other cross-functional partners
  • Emulate the brand aesthetic and embody a strong sense of fashion and an enthusiastic, positive attitude
  • Contribute to maintaining all brand and operating standards to support brand consistency
  • Identify Best-In-Class Visual Merchandising trends in the local market channels (windows, signage, props, etc.)
  • Responsible for the adaptation and/or creation as well as the rollout of new presentation directives and communication to FSS, SIS and Outlet channels
  • Resolve store-specific merchandising opportunities that require adaptations based on regional channel


FOCUS AREA #3: Visual Support- Events, New Store Openings & Special Projects
  • Support and/or oversee all of the FSS, SIS and Outlet New Store Openings within the region
  • Support and/or execute special event set-ups including but not limited to Press Previews, Styling Sessions and Brand Launch Events
  • Responsible for ordering all regional VM prop packages with Visual Operations
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners such as Retail, Marketing, Buying and PR to support their Visual needs (Press Previews, special events, etc.)


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES NOT COVERED IN FOCUS AREAS
  • Manage all regional sign requests
  • Must have thorough knowledge of each season's Collection, monthly product deliveries, volume drivers and assortments
  • Must be able to creative problem-solve and react quickly to address business concerns and be resourceful when working within budgetary constraints
  • Collaborate in a creative environment with other members of the team to achieve results


EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED
  • Minimum of 10 years Visual Merchandising and store operations experience with a luxury goods retailer.
  • Strong organizational, management and leadership skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presenting material in an organized and compelling manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance maintenance and installations on a rolling calendar.
  • Ability to conduct installations outside of standard working and retail boutique hours (ie, early mornings, evenings and weekends).
  • Word, PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
  • Photoshop & Illustrator proficiency preferred
  • Ability to work independently with strong initiative on many different types of projects simultaneously with aggressive timelines
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently as well as with large groups
  • Desire and ability to travel
