We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Buyer and Merchandiser to support the Buying and Merchandising Manager in the development and execution of the seasonal merchandising strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Buying and Merchandising Manager in developing the seasonal merchandising strategy by creating and updating weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales reports and collating shop feedback for seasonal reviews
  • Conduct the seasonal buy and core product reorders; working alongside the Buying and Merchandising Manager to meet the buying budgets
  • To maintain and update the seasonal range plans and delivery schedules to inform the timely allocation of products to store, working to the critical path
  • Working with the Allocator to oversee the allocation and management of stock movements within the business
  • Effectively communicate stock information and delivery updates to the stores to enable them to provide a high standard of customer service
  • Work closely with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Retail, Production, Wholesale and Warehouse departments to maximise seasonal sales performance
  • Responsible for the creation of the seasonal collection guide to ensure its effectiveness as a staff training tool
  • To provide key administrative support to the Buying and Merchandising Manager to ensure the efficient running of the department


Role Requirements:


  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an assistant or junior buying/merchandising position
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal, numerical and analytical skills
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work accordingly


  • Fashion related degree or educated to a similar level
  • Working knowledge of SAP/RMIS or a similar programme advantageous
  • Advanced Excel (pivot and cube reporting beneficial)
