About the role

This role is responsible for the development of the category AUC, responsive supply chain strategy, supplier tiering and selection for the assigned business in collaboration with Brands and Category leadership teams.

The role ensures continued input, feedback and partnership with Brand strategies and supports the execution of respective Category goals (AUC, responsive supply chain, Innovation).

The role is also accountable for developing and leading direct reports and assisting in their development of strategic and analytical skills across Category teams.

What You'll Do
  • Explore long term strategic investment opportunities with vendors and mills
  • Develop category strategy and supplier tiering and selection in collaboration with category leadership teams.
  • Supports the implementation and management of capacity planning and reporting to support the strategy
  • Develops vendor allocation guidelines and governs adherence to these guidelines
  • Identify opportunities to establish long term costing, while leveraging should cost modeling
  • Drive process for major cross-brand programs - establishment of seasonal net macro process and class level guidance
  • Supports the capture of responsive supply chain brand requirements and leads the implementation of responsive supply chain initiatives in to category
  • Playing a key role in directly influencing and working with vendor/mill and logistics partners to reduce end-to-end supply chain lead times
  • Lead strategic capacity conversations with vendors on shorter lead time
  • Facilitates vendor and mill performance scorecarding
  • lead teams to build market intelligence to identify sourcing opportunities as well as benchmark competition
  • develop team members to elevate skill sets and build benchmark capabilities
  • Supports Cat Lead to define appropriate organization structure and capabilities for Category Strategy team
  • Maintain operations/process/IT tool knowledge of team with regards to transformation governance
