Marketing Channel Lead - B2C Gift Cards

We are a cross-functional unit, integrated in Zalando Demand and Markets, which executes global gift card marketing and sales strategy across Europe.

Our goal is to provide our end consumers with a perfect gifting experience and to build up long lasting cooperations with our partners and customers across Europe.

The Gift Cards team is currently structured into 3 channels - B2B, B2C, and Retail. This position is for the B2C channel which works to drive the Zalando Gift Cards business from our online store and owns all online marketing channels and growth initiatives.

  • You will create a long-term B2C Gift Card strategy and define growth initiatives across Zalando markets and marketing channels to grow sales, active customers, awareness, traffic and conversion. This will also involve developing strategies for wider Gifting programs and initiatives.
  • You will manage a team of 2 marketing team members and will closely work with them to drive the B2C gift cards business and priorities and support them in their development.
  • Together with your team, you will plan, execute, analyze, and improve Gift Card and Gifting campaigns, initiatives, and performance.
  • You and the team will drive initiatives to improve traffic, conversion, and customer engagement including: improving onsite visibility & placements, implementing a targeted customer lifecycle plan, conceptualizing and running A/B tests, planning & optimizing paid display and social media, and working with central SEO and SEA teams.
  • Together with the product & data team, you will develop reporting and analytics dashboards and take charge of data and KPI analysis to optimize marketing activities.
  • You will own the sales plan delivery, budgeting, planning, cost management, business reporting and KPI tracking for the B2C channel.
  • You will work with multiple internal stakeholders in different countries and facilitate learnings, plans, and activities.

  • You hold a Master's degree in business or marketing.
  • You have more than 8 years of experience in B2C ecommerce or marketing preferably with a high growth ecommerce company
  • You have experience in managing a P&L and driving growth
  • You have a strong strategic mindset backed with solid data and analytical skills especially with Google Analytics and A/B testing methodologies
  • You have working knowledge of different marketing channels like Onsite Content, Direct Communication (CRM), Paid Display/Social, SEO, SEA, Social Media.
  • You have a strong ability to motivate other people and to pull in the same direction, and have strong team leadership experience.
  • You have excellent project management skills and deep marketing & business knowledge to steer and organize different internal and external cross-functional stakeholders.
  • You are comfortable with Excel (pivot table) and PowerPoint.
  • Your English skills are fluent and impressive; German is a plus (but not mandatory).
