Junior Product Developer

Junior Product Developer - New York based  

The Junior Product Developer will be based in the Dion Lee office in Tribeca, New York and will work closely alongside the Product Developer, Creative Director, Designers, Patternmakers and Production team. 

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in Material Sourcing:

·      Assist with fabric, trims and accessory sourcing, fabric organization and issue all development purchase orders

·      Ensure all sampling materials and trims are ordered and delivered on time to NY/SYD studio & offshore factories

·      Gather fabric details for all fabrics and trims sample in preparation for production 

Assist in the Development of:

·      Prepare technical specification for all styles for handover to local patternmaker/sample room & offshore factories

·      Prepare and send Tech Packs to offshore and local factories

·      Attend and prepare fit notes and style changes for each style to offshore factories

·      Liaise between the New York and Sydney offices in the management of the sampling process

·      Manage in house and out of house pattern making and sampling process in New York      

·      Coordinate fitting, machinist and intern schedule    

·      Track development expenses and invoices

·      Manage development budget

Assist in Pre Production:

·      Work with production team to ensure collection handover is completed within required timeline

·      Prepare necessary off shore tech packs

·      Ensure BOMs are accurate and updated for product changes and communicated to production team

·      Gather information and prepare excel costings for pre market pricing and enter costing chart into fashion management system
