Product Developer/ Manager

Product Developer/ Manager - New York based  

The Product Developer will be based in the Dion Lee office in Tribeca, New York and will work closely alongside the Product Developer, Creative Director, Designers, Pattern-makers and Production team. 

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Material Sourcing:

·      Fabric, trims and accessory sourcing, fabric organization and issue all development purchase orders

·      Ensure all sampling materials and trims are ordered and delivered on time to NY/SYD studio & offshore factories

·      Gather fabric details for all fabrics and trims sample in preparation for production 

Development of:

·      Manage technical specification for all styles for handover to local patternmaker/sample room & offshore factories

·      Manage and send Tech Packs to offshore and local factories

·      Manage the preparation fit notes and style changes for each style to offshore factories

·      Liaise between the New York and Sydney offices in the management of the sampling process

·      Manage in house and out of house pattern making and sampling process in New York       

·      Manage development expenses and invoices

·      Manage development budget

Pre Production:

·      Work with production team to ensure collection handover is completed within required timeline

·     Manage preparation of necessary off shore tech packs

·      Ensure BOMs are accurate and updated for product changes and communicated to production team

·      Gather information and prepare excel costings for pre market pricing and enter costing chart into fashion management system

REQUIREMENTS:

-Min 5 years+ Product Development experience 

-Offshore development experience

-Experience working with factories in Italy and China

-Factory relationships that are transferrable to the business

-Fabric development + fabric sourcing experience

-Costing experience

-Timeline management experience

-Team leadership experience
