Job Description

We are currently looking for an Inventory Controller who will report to the WW Inventory Control Manager as part of our dynamic London team, on an 11month Fixed Term Contract.

Your Opportunity

Working collaboratively with the Supply Chain, Finance and Retail Management, the Inventory Controller will demonstrate the utmost level of attention to detail, ensuring that Alexander McQueen's inventory records accurately represent stock for what concerns the EMEA region.

How you will contribute
  • Working in partnership with the Sales & Demand team to ensure the cost effective and time efficient stock movement within the EMEA region and the improvement of the stock flow strategy across stores, local DC and LGI
  • Responsible for Sales Audit and daily reconciliation of sales for your respective stores
  • Monthly reconciliations between inventory and accounting with Sales & Margin files
  • Prevent and monitor inventory discrepancies and ensure that they can be reconciled
  • Assist store management with daily requests (replenishment, customer service enquiries, stock investigations, consignments, adjustments, transfers)
  • Effectively manage stock adjustments and transfers across the Europe region including warehouses
  • Support the team in carrying out bi-annual stock-takes across stores, investigate the discrepancies and posting the results
  • Support in establishing procedures for damaged products and report accordingly
  • Managing return flow to vendor and related reports
  • Resolve any inventory issues in a timely manner
  • Develop a range of dashboards and metrics for Inventory reporting
  • Using your extensive Excel skills, build and optimise current ways of working through automation
  • Develop existing Inventory guidelines, prepare and deliver the related training to the related stakeholders
  • Assist the HQ teams during the opening of new DOS and oversee the related stock activities


Your Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience working in an Inventory Control/Admin/Supply Chain/Accounting position preferable
  • University degree in Economics, Statistics, Management Engineering or related fields
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage a fast paced and varied workload
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, confident in speaking with several stakeholders
  • Extensive analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally to manage inventory activities effectively
  • Additional languages highly desirable (Italian / French)
  • Knowledge of SAP will be considered a plus
