Job Description

Alexander McQueen is currently looking for a driven Outlet Merchandising Plannerwho will report to the Financial Merchandising Planning Manager as part of our dynamic London team.

How you will contribute
  • You will be responsible for driving the outlet stock and sales strategy to maximise outlets sales potential and effectively use the network as a vehicle for stock clearance (within the parameters of the financial targets set by the business).
  • You will manage stock and sales forecasting and analytical documentation for the outlet network.
  • Responsible for distributing the top line budget by store down to category level for use in sales and stock forecasting.
  • Responsible for forecasting sales for the outlet network down to category level.
  • Responsible for forecasting the outlets stock position down to category level.
  • Work with regional managers and outlet managers to drive assortment planning and distribution of floor space by outlet.
  • You will Identify where there is stock requirements in the outlet network and work with the various teams to address them (Through markdown strategy, made for outlets production etc.).
  • Driving and setting the allocation targets by category to ensure outlets receive stock required to achieve budgets.
  • Work with the allocation team to ensure the effective distribution of stock to each region.
  • Store visits and regular sales and stock update meetings with the outlets to track performance vs targets and adjust strategy where necessary.
  • Responsible for driving pricing and margin in the outlets network. Pricing strategy should satisfy financial and commercial targets whilst effectively helping the outlets to clear stock and achieve sales budgets.
  • You will Identify excess stock in the outlet network and proposing actions to clear the stock whilst remaining within the financial guidelines set by the business.
  • Work with the buying, merchandising, finance and planning teams to drive markdown strategy and manage the flow of goods from full price stores to the outlet network.


Your Skills and Experience
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Strong Organisational and Planning skills
  • Strong use of Microsoft Office - Excel, Powerpoint
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive new processes
  • Strong understanding of end to end merchandise lifecycle
  • Strong merchandising experience within an outlet environment
  • Experience working with product and store assortments
  • Experience of working with sales targets and budgets
