For our newest fulfillment center in Bleiswijk, the Netherlands.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As the IT manager of our brand new warehouse you will be able to support the ramp up of our technical systems and IT infrastructure from the very first moment. You can build and develop your IT Team from scratch and create the best starting point for optimum IT services on site. As one of the first joiners of the local Zalando team you have the chance to join us in building the success of this location.
In this role you are responsible for IT Support & Infrastructure in the warehouse. You and the team act as owners of the systems and infrastructure and provide continuous and excellent IT support to achieve the highest level of availability of our services. You are involved in change projects and support the continuous improvements together with your colleagues.

As the IT manager of our brand new warehouse you will be able to support the ramp up of our technical systems and IT infrastructure from the very first moment. In this role you are responsible for IT Support & Infrastructure in the warehouse. You and the team act as owners of the systems and infrastructure and provide continuous and excellent IT support to achieve the highest level of availability of our services. You are involved in change projects and support the continuous improvements together with your colleagues.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- Building and leading a team of approximately 10 IT Support Technicians and Engineers. Acting as their coach to make each individual as well as the total team better every day.
- Together with your team you are responsible for the flawless functioning of the (IT) technical systems and infrastructure within our 140.000 m2 highly automated warehouse. You have the ability to plan and prioritize activities related to maintenance, IT services and projects. All in accordance with Zalando Standards.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with the international Warehouse IT team, site teams, partners, local (logistics and technical) service providers, and the wider business. You act as the local expert and implement a strong local IT service operation taking into account all your stakeholders interests.
- Driving continuous Innovation by getting involved as a business consultant on all local projects that are related to IT - which is nearly everything!
- A team player with a drive to connect to others.
- Experienced IT leader with bachelor level abilities; as well as 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
- An entrepreneurial approach and passion for technology with excellent communication skills.
- With your strong analytical abilities you use data and facts for decision making, measuring success and minimizing risks.
- With your hands-on mentality you take on problems and find efficient solutions.
- Business fluent in Dutch and English language;
- Available to travel regularly to other Zalando sites in Europe (when health situation allows).
- Experience with Google tools and PM-Software is a nice to have.
