Job Details

Purpose:                      

To setup, maintain and supervise the company's computer infrastructure and related areas of concern.

To be responsible for the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware and software that is used within the company. To help the company to build its future information system.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 4 people
  • Manage all the systems used in the company.
  • Manage the relationships with sorfware vendors, negotiate prices, oversee maintenance.
  • Evaluating the functionality of current systems, analysing the existing business processes, challenge them with users and specify the implementation of department business modules of the new ERP.
  • Draft specification documents with users. Write pitch documents for tenders.
  • Lead the projects with internal users and external consultants.
  • Deliver new systems or system updates to business in Budget and in time.
  • Integrate EDI  between the company ERP, thirds parties and Vendors.
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organisational policy.
  • Draft and publish user documentation, as appropriate.
  • Ensure all employees are appropriately trained on relevant platforms in order to be able to work effectively in their respective areas.
  • Identify problematic areas and implement timely strategic solutions.
  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
  • Research and manage external consultants to ensure best provision of services for business.
  • Manage all communication systems including company phones and mobiles.
  • Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
  • Organise IT, security, support and network management with an external IT company.
  • Audit systems, assess their outcomes and present information to Chief Digital and Logistics Officer where necessary.
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
  • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.

Any other tasks as requested.

System Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a Head of Systems/IT role is essential.
  • Previous experience in the shoe or fashion industry is preferred
  • Experience of implementation of significant ERP solutions
  • Knowledge of PLM (ideally Centric) , POS and stock systems (Ideally Cegid).
  • Knowledge of EDI protocol and processes for US wholesale business.
  • Experience of technical support and computer operations.
  • Knowledge of network, Microsoft Active directory, IP Phone systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to be pro-active, use initiative and work independently
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, and ensure delivery of results within tight deadlines
  • Pace: Ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment by being flexible and adaptable.
  • Communication: Strong and effective presentation skills and ability to converse with a diverse range of people at all levels.
  • Excellence: High level of finesse and excellence required in delivery of all tasks.
