Job Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years professional experience
  • Experience buying Contemporary and Designer brands
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • Knowledge of Heartland Retail (or similar retail POS system)
  • Experience buying in NYC, LA, Paris and Milan markets
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal business partners and external vendors
  • Knowledge of Joor Pro 
  • Thorough knowledge of the Open-to-Buy process
  • Experience analyzing and creating monthly and seasonal plans, Management One preferred
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs with strong MS Excel skills

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attend seasonal markets to work with vendors and curate multi-dimensional assortments
  • Weekly selling reports providing business and performance insights to owner and team
  • Meet financial goals and requirements set forth in OTB
  • Responsible for all order management, to ensure timely delivery and maximum sell-through
  • Participate in A Line Boutique store events to assist and maximize sales performance
  • Coordinate with Operations Director on receiving issues, swaps, and RAs, and RTVs
  • Coordinate with Marketing Director on editorial calendar, shipping windows, and new brand launch announcements
  • Participate in all monthly physical inventories and gather shortage analysis post inventory
  • Negotiate with vendors to meet seasonal markup goals and product sell-through goals
  • Prepare visual post-market recap to provide seasonal product direction
  • Work closely with sales team to provide product knowledge and receive feedback on buy
  • Manage intern activities and train as necessary
  • Provide excellence in customer service to each person who enters A Line Boutique
  • Treat everyone with respect and dignity, customers and coworkers alike
  • Utilize open communication with all colleagues, and encourage constant team spirit
  • Participation in weekly management meetings with CEO, CFO, and Marketing Manager
