INTRODUCTION

JOB PURPOSE

Burberry's Commercial Strategy & Performance team sits at the heart of strategic decision making , producing analysis to assess and forecast performance and enabling retail productivity to drive our business forward.

We are looking for a driven individual to join our team as a Commercial Strategy and Performance Analyst on a permanent basis.

The role is essential in providing visibility of sales performance trends and store planning capabilities, cultivating strong relationships across the business to s upport the design of programmes for commercial delivery as well as the development of performance measurement and targeting relating to retail activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS AND REPORTING
  • Develop and maintain reporting capability and tools to identify optimisation opportunities across the distribution business, with a focus on Retail
  • Produce regular strategic analysis to inform team projects, leveraging data from across the business (e.g. Finance, CRM) , a nalysing and interpreting any results drawing inferences and making recommendations as required


STORE PLANNING ACTIVITY
  • Work with the EMEIA teams to support the coordination of business planning input into store network project approval and monitoring of the delivery process
  • Provide analysis and reporting of store related data including option capacity, fixture footprint and product linear metres enabling store productivity analysis and the testing of new business initiative s while s upporting the ongoing governance activity relating to retail data


PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT
  • Support with design of programmes for commercial delivery, including roadmap building and milestone development
  • Member of key programme working groups, acting as workstream lead where required
  • Embed key programme governance methodologies in ways of working


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Previous experience in a similar Analyst role working with large data sets, knowledge of the Fashion/Luxury industry would be a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in tools such as Tableau, SQL is desirable
  • Excellent analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail taking ownership for accuracy of output
  • Ability to multitask with strong organisational skills, willing to adapt and pick up new techniques
  • Team player and able to communicate effectively
  • Customer-focused and commercial awareness
  • Natural, pleasant and confident attitude
