Senior Finance Manager, U.S. Division - DFS1171896

Job Description

The role of the Senior Finance Manager is to develop and execute division financial, business and control strategy, leading to the achievement of operating income for the Division. This key Finance role will partner with the Store Operations by providing accurate forecasting, oversight, strategic advisory and internal control support. This will be accomplished through close partnership with Operations and Finance; building trust, ownership & accountability.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead Financial Planning & Strategy
• Work with MD to develop, manage and execute tactics in achieving financial strategies for the division
• Develop and improve division and store financial KPI tracking and monitoring
• Oversee the preparation of the division's Budget, Forecasting and Strategic Plan
• Coordinate the monthly financial close with the Global Finance and Corporate Reporting teams, monitor the variances to budgets/forecasts and to provide action plan to ensure division financial goals are achieved
• Participate in all contract bids and negotiations and seeks appropriate involvement of global procurement and legal department Store Analysis
• Work closely with the division management and the Global Store Finance team to improve forecast accuracy process using robust data source and trends and provide financial insights to help the division to make sound business decisions
• Ensure timely and accurate reports which provide relevant information to the key stakeholders and communication, education, and management of financial targets with division stores and functional departments
• Analyze how store led promotions have an impact on traffic, conversion and GM% versus merchandising led promotions
• Ensure store expenses are controlled including Payroll, TAPA, OSE, VM and Marketing expenses.
• Work closely with MD and Store GMs on actions to improve conversion, penetration and average spend per ticket Store Compliance and Controls
• Oversee all internal control matters relating to store operation and corporatBusiness Development/special projects
• Assist the Managing Director / General Manager in analyzing and developing business opportunities. Coordinate with Corporate teams in preparation of business plans and risk/benefit analysis
• Manage relationships and lead negotiations with external third parties related to development of new opportunities and protection of existing business e procedure compliance at division level
• Ensure financial practices and store SOPs are sound and in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures
• Work closely with Global store internal control and compliance teams to establish and maintain appropriate internal controls to safeguard company's assets, inventory and cash
• Lead internal and external audit activities to detect control weaknesses

Key Requirements:
College or University Degree in Business or Finance required >10 years of progressive financial & operating experience. The ideal candidate will have prior store operations experience in a significant financial / control position. This includes core competencies such as budgeting / operations analysis, business case analysis of capital expenditure, internal controls and strong planning skills. CPA Retail Industry, inventory management experience a plus
