JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a candidate with a genuine interest and enthusiasm in working with a leading digital function in a luxury retail environment. The Fina ncial Ana lyst will provide support to the Digital Finance Manager and will be responsible for the delivery of timely and accurate financial analysis, providing insights into actuals revenue performance and modelling the forecast outlook. The role is also responsible for the analysis and monitoring of the digital income statement and cost base, tracking and understanding profitability of the channel and identifying opportunities to unlock operational efficiencies.

Key to this role is the development of strong partnerships with the digital function, particularly the trading team, and marketing function, to provide support and challenge in shaping financial plans and analysis. This role will also be required to support on transformation/investment projects and other adhoc initiatives. Regular interaction with Regional and Supply Chain Finance is also necessary to ensure revenues, cost, forecast and budget alignment with corporate requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Performance Management and Decision Support
  • Perform financial modelling to inform and support regular review of digital revenues with the business and finance stakeholders
  • Provide a range of analysis activities to enable budget holders to manage and optimise their expenditure
  • Develop and establish processes for a smooth delivery of month-end close; lead in partnering with Burberry Services
  • Prepare and review management reports to ensure accuracy and presentation in line with business requirements (actuals, forecast, budget)

Planning Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Support business with strong budget control
  • Complete, Coordinate, review and evaluate the development of plans, budgets & forecasts for digital revenues and costs (both regional and corporate cost)
  • Support the continuous improvement of planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ownership of headcount reporting for actuals and creation of forecasts
  • Support the formulation and delivery of long-range plans

Cross functional working
  • Foster a strong partnership mind-set between finance and budget holders to provide analysis, challenge and insight on commercial finance matters and strategies
  • Act as the interface with key finance stakeholders


QUALIFICATION & SKILLS

  • Advanced Excel Skills - strong financial modelling and analytical background
  • SAP, BW,BOSS reporting - preferable
  • Part/Full accounting qualification - preferable but not essential
  • Ability to communicate with and work effectively with a wide range of personalities in an articulate manner
  • Flexible, open to change and a willingness to learn
