Head of Finance

Frescobol Carioca is looking for a talented and growth-minded candidate to be its Head of Finance. This is a high-profile position and it will be expected that the candidate significantly contribute to the growth of the company, partnering with departments to provide useful insights via data analysis and helping the Directors to execute the strategy as set out by the company’s Board.

Responsibilities

1. Own budget and forecast process (financial modelling based on Excel), running what-if scenarios, controlling any deviation from budget and supporting management to take responsible spend decisions
2. Create and run reports providing commercial insights to sales (wholesale and ecommerce) and production departments
3. Cash management: take ownership of the company’s cash position, negotiating with suppliers where possible to minimize monthly outflows
4. Take ownership of the finance-related ERP (Oracle Netsuite) processes, develop detailed working knowledge of it, to ensure accuracy of financial reporting
5. Supervise month closing, year end management accounts, VAT submissions and create management reports to be presented to the Board of the company
6. Manage and train the finance analyst who runs all the bookkeeping processes

Skills

1. Confident presenting skills
2. Self-starter with a positive attitude
3. Comfortable with technology (can walk on your own feet when solving ERP problems)
4. Some commercial experience or come from a retail back ground
5. Advanced Excel modelling (strong with Pivot Tables, Tables and if possible Power Query)
6. Business acumen and advanced accounting skills (qualification not required but appreciated)
7. Oracle Netsuite experience desirable
