As the Head of People & Organisation (P&O), Logistics, you will be responsible for the core of P&O in our German Logistic Warehouses - in Erfurt, Mönchengladbach and Lahr. The Head of P&O Logistics works in close partnership with the business leaders of the German Warehouses and the senior leadership team to develop and execute the HR strategy and roadmap supporting the growth and health of the organization. You will build an organization and culture that facilitates long-term business scale through the acquisition, development and retention of talent and the use/adoption of technologies in the delivery of our service.

We are seeking an experienced HR leader who can diagnose problems as well as identify and drive appropriate solutions. You will establish HR priorities and operating mechanisms to drive change and interface effectively the leaders at all levels. You will be instrumental in initiating and driving HR programs and initiatives within the organization and will coach clients who lead small to large teams, developing innovative solutions to deliver results, and championing Zalando's culture and values

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- Lead a direct team of 65 colleagues HR BPs, People Operations, Learning & Development) in three different locations: Erfurt, Mönchengladbach and Lahr (this role is based in Berlin, you will need to be ready to travel up to 20% of the time, depending on the needs)
- Function as a consultant and counselor to business leaders and their respective organizations; must become a trusted and insightful HR partner to senior leaders; engage in strategic planning meetings, annual off sites and leadership staff meetings to translate business needs into HR plans
- Create a unified organization that uniformly supports and develops employee engagement, leadership development and high organization development
- Drive operational excellence and efficiency in HR processes to enable the organization to hire and develop talent at scale and consistently to our principles
- Manage the strategic partnership with Works Councils in Germany
- Partner with the recruiting Leadership Team to build systemic and scalable recruiting programs that will enable the business teams to achieve their recruiting goals
- Develop and build an awesome team of HR Business Partners
- 5-7+ years of experience in HR leadership roles
- Experience leading and developing teams of 50< HR professionals
- Strong consulting approach, to partner closely with the business to understand the current and future talent needs and be able to provide insights/ solutions on the health of the organization
- Data driven approach with strong analytics and the ability to create the right people metrics and implement solutions to drive positive change
- Willingness to get involved in both high-level, strategic topics, as well as operational and very hands-on tasks
- Detailed knowledge and experience of working with German Works Councils and German labour law
- Ideally experience and knowledge in the fields of: organizational design and effectiveness, performance management, employee relations, coaching/development, conflict management
- Fluency in English and German
