In Retail Core, we are the engine that drives Zalando's deep relationships with 1200+ fashion brands. Zalando's wholesale business is worth EUR 4.5bn+ and is growing ~20% annually. We build innovative B2B solutions that make it scalable and optimize decision-making across its procure-to-pay processes. This way, we ensure a flawless offering for Zalando's 45m active customers.

We are currently building the fashion industry's most advanced assortment composition product. Zalandos use it to compose the fashion assortment we will offer our customers 6 months in the future. We help them with simple yet powerful workflows, decision support and analytical capabilities.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • You will strongly contribute towards a compelling product vision and strategy. You will align it with Zalando north star and group strategy and get the buy-in of senior stakeholders and leadership. You will collaborate with eng. and design leadership to define overall tech and team strategy
  • You will identify and explore the most promising opportunities to realize our vision. You will change complexity into clarity to ensure that they are worth solving. You will work backwards with (a) multi-disciplinary team(s) to deliver innovative, delightful solutions
  • You will be a change driver for the way fashion buying works. You will pair with bright, diverse teams and solve interesting problems
  • You will coach, mentor and potentially manage other Product Managers and help us raise the bar of how we do Product Management at Zalando


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • You have a strong business sense and a passion to solve the right problems. You can define a compelling product vision/strategy and justify investment in it. You excel at inspiring teams towards a purpose and making them excited about the future
  • You have owned long- and medium-term roadmaps, aligned to your product vision/strategy and optimized to maximize the impact of your team(s). You have worked together with other product managers, product designers and engineers. You might have some experience building data-backed products
  • Getting up to speed on complex processes is a piece of cake for you. You can structure any problem and explain it to anyone. You can fast and reliably spot the biggest opportunities and best solutions. You know how to measure success and continuously iterate to make your product better
  • You can bridge the gap between business and technology. You can moderate workshops and create clarity for senior audiences. Your verbal and written communication are outstanding, clear and concise. You also know when to use a whiteboard to bring your point across
  • You want to have an impact and use a creative, solution-oriented and adaptive-to-change mindset. You enjoy driving continuous improvement and innovation
