MAIN PURPOSE

Manage and apply the Brand Policies, Repair leadtime and RCS operating procedures

Manage the technical resources (Jewelers and Polishers) i n the daily operations providing support to the team members as well as being an active Jeweler.

Ensure all means to support the jewellery operations in our internal and external network .

Define and implement proximity services in order to deliver fast an outstanding Customer experience.

Ensure the performance of the Jewelry and Polishing workshop (quality, productivity and respect of date commitment)

Coaches' technicians and knowledge shares with colleagues and network technicians to advance the teams abilities to increase productivity and efficiency - best working practice-EHS-technical variations-product knowledge-technical updates and improvements made by manufacturers.

Demonstrates effective leadership skills Handles roles and responsibilities - Manages team and individual performance management process - Encourages and supports the individual development of team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assign repairs to Jewelers and Polishers considering technical ability of the team members

Handle questions/problems within or related to the team (multiple warranty repairs...)
Key contact for the Administration team (all questions on repairs and delivery dates)
Monitor spare parts consumption
Follow the repair WIP (anomaly list). Monitor capacity vs. workload. Participate to morning Meetings.
Ensure and monitor quality.
Enforce quality feedback to Brands.
Ensure that tools are available and equipment are up-and-running

Team development: Act as a technical trainer/coach for the team and individuals
Develop & manage the jewellers and polishers' careers. Identify and develop talents
Participate to recruitment process

Train and support the external partners with the application of Brand policies
Ensure right application of Brand policies and jewellery procedures
Contribute to enhancement of procedures related to repair process
Monthly follow up of overall performance
Support the network infrastructure with layout, process and equipment
Visit the network on regular basis: Assessment, Audit, Development plan

Creates and proposes to the RCS Technical manager actions, improvements and modifications in the general areas of:

Structural aspects, including the organization of the servicing network, in its infrastructure: the creation of new facilities in the zone, the modification of existing ones

human resources: evaluation, hiring, training, career orientation

Technical aspects, including workshop environment + layout, furniture, equipment and tools management, quality feedback, technical document distribution + training, local techn. support for special interventions (soldering, rhodium plating, engraving, stone setting, etc.)

Logistical aspects, including the workshops precious material + spare parts management (replenishment, classification and inventory)

Information treatment aspects

Financial aspects, such as costs and inventories mastering

Managing & Developing Teams able to lead and effectively manage the performance of subordinates and encourage others in learning opportunities.

Professional qualification in the jewelry technical field (incl. setting)
Basic knowledge in polishing technics and equipment
Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities
Ability to take decisions and work independently


Minimum 10 years experience in Jewelry Repair and familiar with 18 Kt. Gold in different color and Platinum

Familiar in the handling of different sensitive materials: Gemstones, Semi-Precious Stones, Wood, Pearls, Ceramic, Resin, Coral, etc. Familiar with Fire-Soldering and Laser Welding

Skills in polishing of Jewelry
Able to determine uncommon inquiries and able to provide a problem solving solution
Experience in Stone-Setting, as well plating skills (Rhodium) would be a plus Familiar with Computer Skills (MS Office, Internet, E-Mail)


Good communication skills (English verbal + written PLUS)

Willing to work in big structure with different policies and cross culture awareness

Has a good understanding of his equipment and tools

Maintains all equipment and tool in optimum working condition, which includes washing, sterilizing and cleaning

Recommends purchase of same that may improve the effectiveness and service of the service centre

Promotes the quality in order to avoid repeating errors
