Luxury Appraisal Specialist

We are looking for resourceful and detailed LUXURY APPRAISAL SPECIALISTS  (internally referred to as PROCUREMENT SPECIALISTS) to join our procurement team at our headquarters in CARLSBAD, CA (work from home to start)! Some Saturdays (rotated) required.

As a PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST for LUXURY HANDBAGS, you will be trained to evaluate and appraise luxury pre-owned handbags and accessories (Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, etc.) from clients online. Procurement Specialists are knowledgeable of most luxury brands and will process quotes online in an accurate and efficient manner.

This is a key position for FASHIONPHILE, as our business is selling pre-owned designer handbags and small accessories. We're proud to deliver an immense selection of brands and styles, while continuing to grow our inventory and customer supplier base at an energetic pace.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Research brand, style, and resale value of pre-owned luxury handbags and accessories
• Assess demand and analyze internal and external sales data to provide accurate and timely quotes to online customers
• Review items in person, including the condition and brand-specific information
• Develop personal strategies for research methods, focusing on efficiency and accuracy

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Extreme attention to detail
• Ability to work well both independently and in a collaborative environment
• Previous experience in retail, luxury fashion a PLUS
• Demonstrate willingness to be proactive and remain productive as workflow expands or is reduced
• Outstanding communication abilities
• Sit at a computer and type for up to 8 hours per day
• Lift up to 20 pounds
• Average to excellent vision (or corrected vision), without any color deficiencies (color blindness)
• Fluent in English, including reading and spelling
• Proficient typing skills (30 wpm+)
• Able to navigate the internet and use search functions
• Proficient in basic word processing skills
• Simple math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
